Fine Arts Experience

2020 - Exhibited at the Salmagundi Club in NYC with The American Watercolor Society’s 153rd Anniversary Exhibition

2019 – Exhibited at Glave Kocen Gallery, Richmond, Virginia and awarded second place in Equus V Horses in the Virginia Landscape at the Art Center at Orange, Va.

2014 - 2019 – Exhibited with Fine Art Faculty at James Madison University, Bridgewater College and Blue Ridge Community College.

2013 - Exhibited at Flux Gallery and The Red Door Gallery in Virginia and had four painting accepted into a juried show at the Jeffrey Leder Gallery in New York City.

2010 - Had work selected for the 18th Annual Juried exhibition at the Bowery Gallery in Chelsea, N.Y.C.

2008 to present - Exhibited with the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation at Montpelier, the Arts Center in Orange, at the Staunton Augusta Art Center Gallery with “Artists Who Teach”, and faculty exhibitions with Bridgewater College and James Madison University.

2007 and 2011 - Won the commission to create a painting used for the Montpelier Hunt Races poster which was auctioned for the Foundation. A limited edition of fine art prints of the painting was offered for sale to benefit the Montpelier Race Foundation.

2007 - Exhibited with The American Artist Professional League at the Salmagundi Club in N.Y.C. and received the top honor for watermedia.

2006 - Had a pastel accepted to show with the Pastel Society of America in Gramercy Park, New York City.

2005 - Had two paintings selected by the National Art for Parks Foundation as representative of the Shenandoah Valley that toured nationally for the year.

1990 to 1993 - While living in Brattleboro, Vermont, joined with a group of artists and the Vermont Council on the Arts to found the Windham Art Gallery working in all facets of the gallery from building walls to advertising and bookkeeping. This is a cooperative gallery that is still thriving today.


Commercial Art Experience

Victoria Magazine, Hearst Publications – Artist in Residence for 2016 creating illustrations for the magazine to reflect the content of each issue.

Rosetta Stone – Illustrated their Latin Program, working with linguists in Warsaw and Paris in addition to the production team at corporate headquarters in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

LexisNexis – Designed artwork for a web portal to illustrate their newly acquired “Shepardizing” site for computer assisted legal research and citations.

Museum of American Frontier Culture – Worked with a design team, historians and anthropologists to illustrate and designed a map to be used as a teaching aid for schools and visitors.
